Best Apple Pie Recipe on the Web

So, I have never shared a recipe on the site, but I was inspired to do so because every time I search for a recipe online, you have to dig and dig for the actual recipe. So, I will be sharing recipes, and you don't have to search and dig! I'll be getting right to the point.

    • 1/2 cup sugar
    • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
    • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
    • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
    • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
    • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
    • Extra sugar for sprinkling over pie
  • Directions:
    • Preheat oven to 375°.
    • On a lightly floured surface, roll one half of the dough to a 1/8-in.-thick circle; transfer to a 9-in. pie plate. Roll remaining dough to a 1/8-in.-thick circle and set to the side. Trim even with rim.
    • In a small bowl, combine sugars, flour, and spices;
    • In a large bowl, toss apples with lemon juice. Add sugar mixture and make sure it coats all the apples.
    • Add filling to the pie pan; dot with butter. Place prepped dough over the pie filling.
    • Trim, seal, and flute edge and then cut slits in top.
    • Beat egg white until foamy; brush over crust. Sprinkle with sugar. Cover edge loosely with foil.
    • Bake 35 minutes.
    • Remove foil and then bake until crust is golden brown and filling is bubbly, 25-30 minutes longer.
    • Cool on a wire rack for at least two hours before cutting.
